How Do You Read Tarot Cards?

I think every reader is different, and uses different techniques to read the cards. Many learn the meaning of each card, but then get stuck attempting to translate the combinations of the cards as they occur in the layout of a reading.

Personally, I studied psychology, mythology and theology and have a technical analytical background in operations research. However, I am also clairvoyant/clairsentient/clairaudient. Therefore, when I read, often the cards act as either a distraction or confirmation of the impressions I am receiving during the reading.

This book explains beginning techniques for developing skills to read tarot cards. It also gives some methodologies which can be used to develop psychic skills.

This video gives an interesting little view into style of reading.

These readings are extremely difficult because you are attempting to condense data/information/messages per zodiac sign and give a general message for each sign. The general audience wants to know about love and money.

In love, they want to know if their lost love is coming back, and with money, there is a general desire to hear that you will win the lottery.

When in fact, the information is often mundane and dealing with karmic lessons per sign at the time of the reading. A good reader will tell you the truth of the matter vs. what the querent may have a desire to hear.

In the video, when you see me pause or close my eyes, I have a ‘message’ or impressions coming through — it may be about the card pulled, it may not be about the card. The cards are for visual representations for the querent.
There are visual aspects to reading. Don’t forget this is a kind of remote reading because it lacks a specific querent/subject. However, if I have a visual reference point - a photo, I can also pull quite a bit of information out about a person or place, without the tarot cards.
